These Oppo phones will be getting ColorOS 12 update in December

Just a few days ago, Oppo pushed the official version aka stable build of Android 12-based ColorOS 12 to the Oppo Find X3 Pro. Today, the company has dropped a new tweet through the @ColorOSGlobal Twitter handle. And this time, the skin is coming to the big list of Oppo phones. Here’s the list of Oppo phones which will get the ColorOS 12 update this month.

As per the information, the beta access of the newest skin will be available from 10th December for Reno 5 Pro 5G and F19 Pro+ in India, Reno 6 Pro in Pakistan, and Reno 6Z 5G in Thailand and Cambodia.

In Saudi Arabia, the A73 5G will get a beta build from December 15th. While at the end of the month (28th December), the beta program will be available for Oppo Reno 5, Reno 5 Marvel Edition, and Reno 6 in Indonesia, A74 5G for both Indonesia and India.

This time company also shares information about the stable aka the official version. And according to the details, the Find X2 series phones including Find X2, Find X2 Pro, and Find X2 Pro Automobili Lamborghini Edition are going to receive the major OS upgrade from 20th December in India and Indonesia.

From 22nd December, the Reno 6 Pro 5G (India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan), Reno 6 Pro 5G Diwali Edition (India), and Reno 5 Pro 5G (Saudi Arabia) will get the update. However, the official version is coming to the Reno 6 5G on 28th December in India, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Talking about the features, then ColorOS 12 comes with features such as the new inclusive design, 3D textured icons, adopts Android 12-based widgets, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features. Oppo also packed its skin with a big list of aesthetic wallpapers, you can download these wallsย right here. Apart from these changes, we can expect updated security patch levels.

Make sure that your smartphone is running on the latest available software version. In case your device is running on the older version, then make sure to update your device to the newer version.

Open the Settings app on your Oppo smartphone, then head over to the Software Update > Settings icon > apply for the Trial Version > enter the needed information. Thatโ€™s it.

Before updating your device via special OTA, make sure to take a backup of important data. Also, charge your device to at least 50 percent. As I mentioned earlier, the update comes with a number of useful features, enhancements, along with the updated monthly security.
