Oppo has released the stable Android 13 update for its latest flagship models Find X5 and Find X5 Pro. The update is based on ColorOS 13. ColorOS 13 testing for the Find X5 series began last month and after nearly two months of testing, the stable update is now rolling out to select regions.
Google released the stable update for supported Pixel phones in early August. And this is the first stable Android 13 update since then. This means that the Oppo Find X5 is the first non-Pixel phone to get the stable Android 13 update. And from this point, other brands will also be releasing the stable update soon.
The update for Oppo Find X5 is live in the UAE and France. Whereas the update for Oppo Find X5 Pro is rolling out in Australia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam. It is expected to be available in other regions in upcoming batches.
Oppo Find X5 Android 13 stable update comes with build version C.28 and the update for Find X5 Pro is available with version C.35. To receive the update make sure your Find X5 must be running on the A.18/A.19 build and Find X5 Pro on A.22. Since it is a major update, there will be no surprise if you receive the update over a GB. So make sure to use WiFi for downloading the update.
Now coming to changes, the update brings a bunch of new features including the new Aquamorphic design that makes the UI attractive. The update also improves animation, redesigned shelf, 9×9 apps folders, new Bitmoji AOD, live notifications on AOD, and more. As of now, we don’t have the full changelog but you can expect most of the ColorOS 13 features that Oppo announced last month.
If you own a Find X5 or Find X5 Pro from eligible countries, then you will get the OTA update on your phone. Since it is a staged rollout, the update can take few weeks to reach all devices. You can check for the update by going to Settings > Software Updates. If the update is not available then check after one or two days.
Before upgrading your Find X5 series to Android 13, make sure to take a full backup and charge it to at least 50%.
