Stable Android 12 update goes live for Oppo A76

Google is now in the final testing phase of Android 13 which will be released to the public in a couple of months. But there are still many non-Pixel devices due for the Android 12 update. Oppo A76 is now the latest Oppo phone to get Android 12 based stable ColorOS 12 update with some new features and improvements. Letโ€™s find out everything about Android 12 for Oppo A76.

Oppo A76 is a new phone released this year but with Android 11 based ColorOS 11. So Android 12 is the first major update for the device. Around mid May, Oppo released the beta version of Android 12 for the Oppo A76 users. And after more than a month of testing, Oppo finally starts rolling out the stable Android 12 to Oppo A76.

Oppo A76 stable Android 12 update or ColorOS 12 update comes with build number C.40. And currently, the update is rolling out in India. And as this is a major update it will require more data to download the update. You will see new features and major improvements as well.

Oppo A76 Android 12 update brings features such as Wallpaper-based theming, more default Google apps, Privacy dashboard, Dark Mode enhancements, 3D textured icons, new features for AOD, new privacy controls, and many other features. The stable Android 12 update for Oppo A76 is rolling out in batches similar to other Oppo updates. It means it will be rolled out to a batch of Oppo A76 until all devices get the update. So if you are an Oppo A76 user in India, you should get the stable Android 12 update soon. But make sure your phone is running on A.07 or newer.

Both stable Android 11 users and Android 12 beta users can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software Update. Once the stable Android 12 update is available click on download and install to get the update.

Before updating your phone to a new version, make sure to take backup of your data and charge your phone to at least 50%.
