Android 11 is the latest Android version released a few months ago. And many OEMs already pushed the latest Android 11 update to their flagship devices. But there are still some OEMs like Sony that are yet to release the Android 11 update for their devices. But with time remaining supported devices will get the update. Recently Sony has released the official Android 11 update roadmap. Here you will know the list of Sony Phones that will receive the Android 11 update.

Android 11 was released back in September 2020 and as usual Pixel phones received it first. And later devices such as OnePlus 8T, OnePlus 8 Pro, Vivo V20, and other devices received the Android 11 update. Sony is also a popular brand and they are finally going to release an Android 11 update for their devices.

Till now there was no confirmation regarding the Android 11 update for Sony Xperia phones. It means you probably have a question about when Xperia phones will get Android 11 updates. Sony has finally revealed the plans for upcoming Android 11 updates.

If you are a proud owner of Sony phones. Then here you will know if your device will get Android 11. As per the latest Xperia blog below phones will be receiving Android 11 updates before March 2020.

And if we talk about the Xperia phone that will receive the Android 11 update before the end of December 2020. Then it is the Xperia 1 II, which is the first Xperia phone to receive the latest Android 11 update. So if you have an Xperia 1 II then you can finally experience Android 11 before the end of this year.

Android 11 will bring all the new features that were officially announced in Android 11. Some of these features are Chat Bubbles, redesigned power menu, change in Notification panel & volume controls, improved performance, and many other features. As Xperia phones come with stock-like interfaces, you can expect a similar experience as Pixel devices at least in some apps.

Listed Xperia phones other than Xperia 1 II will get the update in the first two months of 2021. It is not clear which other Xperia phones will get the Android 11 update other than the listed phones. The firmware will also be released along with OTA updates. It means even if you don’t receive the OTA update on your phones, then you can manually update your device. First, download the Android 11 firmware from the Xperifirm tool for your Xperia device. Then you can manually flash on your phone.

Update 1: Xperia 1 II gets Android 11

Sony Xperia 1 II received the latest Android 11 update. It brings a bunch of new features. These are the Android feature including Chat Bubbles, updated notification panel, new power menu and many more features. The update is rolling out with software version 58.1.A.0.921.


Update 2: Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 received Android 11

Sony rolls out Android 11 update to the Xperia 1 Mark I and Xperia 5 Mark 1. As obvious, the latest build packs a bunch of new features and improvements alongside the Android 11 essential features. The latest patch is rolling over-the-air with 55.2.A.0.630 build number.


Update 3: Xperia 5 II gets Android 11

The third phone is the Xperia 5 Mark 2, which receives the Android 11 update. Obviously, it comes with a number of new features and security improvements. Sony Xperia 5 II comes with 58.1.A.1.1.178 software version.
