Sony is doing great with software updates. The Japanese tech giant has already released the Android 14 update for all eligible number series phones. This week, the company begins rolling out the anticipated update for the only pending smartphone, dubbed, Sony Xperia Ace III.
Sony Xperia Ace III Android 14 update goes live in mainland Japan for Y!mobile carrier-locked models. A broader rollout should commence in the coming days. The update is seeding with the 63.2.D.0.301 version number. Obviously, it is a big update and so it requires a huge chunk of storage and data for installation.
Speaking of the changes, then Android 14 update for Sony phones boasts a bunch of new features, the list includes features like Monochrome themes, flash notifications, more customization options, use your phone as a webcam, a new battery settings page, even bigger fonts, improved privacy and security, and many other features. Speaking of the flash notifications, then you can now choose from 12 color options.
If you own the Y!mobile’s Xperia Ace III and reside in Japan, then you can now update your device to Android 14. All you need to do is, head over to Settings > System > System Update > Download and Install > Restart Now.
Once the update is available, create a backup and charge your phone to at least 50% before updating the device.
