Sony Xperia 10 V starts receiving stable Android 15 update

Sony kicked off its Android 15 campaign last November with the Xperia 1 VI. Later in early January, two more devices, received the Xperia 1 V and Xperia 5 V. Now the company has started rolling out the stable Android 15 update for the Xperia 10 V.

The Sony Xperia 10 VI is also eligible for the update, although the Xperia 10 V is receiving the latest major update before its successor. However, the update for the newer model might be released soon.

A Reddit user Sousuke1989 shared that they have received the stable Android 15 update, and a few other users have confirmed it as well. A screenshot shared by the user confirms that the update is available in Hungary. However, itโ€™s possible that itโ€™s already available in other regions as well.

The Android 15 update for Sony Xperia 10 V is rolling out with build version 68.2.A.2.38A and it weighs 1.1GB. Although, the screenshot doesnโ€™t include the changelog, you’ll be getting most of the Android 15 goodies that other Xperia phones have already received with the update.

  • Private Space to keep apps in a separate space inside the app drawer
  • Changes to Wallpaper & style setting
  • Dashboard function in Side Sense
  • New Quick settings panel and notification panel
  • Audio sharing with Bluetooth LE Audio
  • Other small changes

In case you experience lagging issues with the YouTube app, a user has suggested disabling HW overlays in the developer settings.

A user has also shared positive feedback, stating that everything is working smoothly and the update feels seamless.

The Android 15 update is rolling out in batches, so it may take a few weeks to complete. If you have a Xperia 10 V, you can check for the update in Settings. Before installing the update, make sure to back up your device.
