Android 11 Update for Sony Xperia 1 II

Android 11 Update for Xperia 1 II is seeding over-the-air in Taiwanese region. It will be available in other regions in the coming days. The newer update pops up with the November 2020 security patch. It’s the same patch available on the previous build 58.0.A.3.224.

In case youโ€™ve not received the OTA notification on your Sony Xperia 1 II, then I recommend you to check the updates manually in the system settings.

To manually check for updates simply go to Settings on your Xperia 1 II. And then go to System > Software Update. It will show the available update that you can download and install on your phone.

Hopefully soon the firmware will also be available on the company’s server. It means even if you donโ€™t receive the OTA update on your phones, then you can manually update your device. First, download the Android 11 firmware from the Xperifirm tool for your Xperia device. Then you can manually flash on your phone. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. Thatโ€™s it.
