All good things must come to an end, and that seems to be the case with one of Sony’s programs. PlayStation Stars, a loyalty program for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users launched in September 2022, is now ending. Yes, it has been around for the past three years and will no longer be an active service starting November 2026.

PlayStation Stars Loyalty Program Comes to an End
For those who do not know what PlayStation Stars is, let me guide you through it. This is a loyalty program that was free for PS4 and PS5 users to become a member of. Joining this program gave players a lot of rewards, especially in-game items.
Of course, you could earn these rewards based on the various campaigns that were laid out for you to complete. Apart from the in-game rewards, users would also get video games and even, at times, PlayStation Store credit.
However, PlayStation has now decided to bring this loyalty program to an end. So, what does that mean for members who are subscribed to the loyalty program? They continue to be a member until the program comes to a complete halt. Do note that if you cancel your membership now, you will no longer be able to join back to the program. New users can no longer register for such programs.
PlayStation Stars: What Happens Now?
While PlayStation has stopped the registration of new members to the service, existing members can continue to earn all the points from various campaigns until July 23, 2025. Once that date passes, you will continue to be a member, but will no longer be able to earn any more points. You will lose all of your points if you cancel your membership after May 21, 2025. So, my advice is to stay in the program until it completely stops.
However, PlayStation will give existing users time until the 2nd of November 2026 to claim all the points that users might have accumulated. November 2, 2026 will also be the day when the PlayStation Stars loyalty program comes to a complete end.
PlayStation Stars: What Lies Ahead?
Well, Sony says that this particular version of the PlayStation Stars loyalty program will end on November 2, 2026. Since this particular version is coming to an end, you can expect Sony to bring out a new, reworked PlayStation Stars loyalty program that will have much better benefits to its users. Now, the only people that know either this is going to be a reality is Sony’s PlayStation department.
We might soon see an announcement for the new loyalty program, or Sony simply closing down its loyalty program service for good.
