Sony releases Android 13 update for Xperia 10 IV

Sony is doing great with the Android 13 rollout. The OEM has already released the new software for various eligible models including Xperia 1 IV, Xperia 5 IV, Xperia Pro-I, Xperia 1 III, and Xperia 5 III. Now the company has started pushing the new software – Android 13 to the Xperia 10 IV.

Android 13 update for Xperia 10 IV (XQ-CC72) is labeled with the 65.1.A.4.8 build number. At the time of writing, the software is available for the Asian dual-SIM variant, obviously, it will also be available for other variants in the coming days. It is the first major software upgrade for the mid-ranger, so it will require a huge chunk of data for downloading. Make sure you have enough data and storage on your smartphone.

In terms of changes, the update comes with many features including the Live Stream from Camera View, expanded Material You dynamic theming, more options in Quick Settings, support for per-app language, Bluetooth LE Audio, and more. If you own the Xperia 10 IV (model number XQ-CC72), then you can now upgrade your phone to Android 13 by navigating to System updates in the Settings app then check for the new updates, if the update is available simply download and install it on your device. If not, wait for a few days, currently, it is rolling in a staged manner and will be available to everyone in a matter of time.

In case you are in a hurry and want to try out the new software, then you can manually flash your phone to the new software by downloading the firmware from tools like XperiFirm. Before updating your phone, make sure to take a backup and charge your phone to at least 50%.
