The Japanese Smartphone OEM, Sharp, kick-starts its Android 14 rollout campaign with Aquos R8 Pro and Sense7. The company has officially started rolling out the update to unlocked variants. As a major software upgrade, it boasts a slew of new features, enhancements, and fixes. Read on to know more details.
Sharp is pushing the new software with lock screen customizations, lock screen shortcuts, a cleaner lock screen user interface, five ways to customize app icons, an upgraded Settings page, the ability to reorder 3-button navigation, and more.
Apart from the UI changes, the upgrade new gestures for the camera app including the new floating shutter button, an easy way to switch between shooting modes, and a few more.
Android 14 update is seeding on the two Sharp phones with new privacy and security features, improved system animations, Child mode, and an upgraded monthly security patch.
Sharp is rolling out the new software in a staged manner, it will be available to everyone in a matter of time. Currently, the update is live to unlocked models of Aquos R8 Pro and Sense7. You can expect the carrier-locked variants to receive the update in the coming weeks.

The testing is underway for all these models. If you own any of these devices, you will get a major software upgrade very soon.
