Here’s the second batch of Xiaomi phones getting MIUI 12.5 Enhanced update

In the past couple of months, Xiaomi released its newest MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition upgrade for a bunch of mid-ranger and flagship phones. Today, the company has shared the updated MIUI 12.5 Enhanced edition roadmap, featuring ten Mi branded and Redmi series phones. As obvious, the update will be available for these phones with new system optimization and enhancements. Xiaomi has shared the updated timeline on its community forum. And as per the details, the update is coming on the mid-tier Mi 10i, Mi 10 Lite 5G, Mi 10T Lite. Talking about the Redmi branded phones then the update is coming to the Redmi Note 8, Redmi 9 Power, Redmi 9T, Redmi Note 9T, Redmi Note 10 5G, Redmi Note 10 JE, and Redmi Note 10T. As the update is already available for the Redmi 9T, we can expect that the pending phones will get the new MIUI 12.5 Enhanced upgrade within a month or two.

Xiaomi’s newest software upgrade – MIUI 12.5 Enhanced bags a flurry of useful features such as better memory management system and smart balance improves core system management. The Enhanced Edition of MIUI 12.5 has Focus algorithm which dynamically allocates system resources. Apart from that, the update will bring improvements to the overall system.

Usually, Xiaomi releases these upgrades in a staged manner, and the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced is no different. The company has released the upgrade for a small number of Redmi 9T users, so we can expect same with the other phones. But luckily, the Recovery ROMs of the new MIUI updates are easily available so users can manually upgrade their phones to the new software version. Also, before upgrading your smartphone, I recommend taking a backup, before diving into the process and charge your device to at least 50%. To sideload the recovery zip, you can flash it from the custom Recovery. That’s it.
