  1. At first, you need to open a File Manager on your smartphone. Now, scroll down and find WhatsApp folder.
  2. Now open WhatsApp Folder then tap on the Media folder, here you can see that there are 5-6 folders named – WhatsApp Profile Pictures, Documents, Others, Audio, Video, Images, etc.
  3. After opening WhatsApp > Media folder, Now go to your file manager settings and change the hidden files settings. Tap on Show Hidden Files. After doing this you can see the new folder in WhatsApp Media folder named “.Statuses”. 
  4. Open “.Statuses” folder, here you can see all the images and videos which are posted by your friends. Copy any image or video then paste it in any other folder, then open it.
  5. If you are trying to open the image or a video directly there then it is not possible because it is available in the cache memory of your device and it disappears from your device only after 24 hours.
