Along with the One UI 3.0 update for remaining Galaxy phones, Samsung is also pushing the One UI 3.1 update to supported phones. Some of the flagship Galaxy phones like Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and Galaxy Note 10 series already got the One UI 3.1 update early this year. And now One UI 3.1 is available for Galaxy Fold.

Samsung Galaxy Fold One UI 3.1 Update

Apart from Google, no one can beat Samsung when it comes to the latest updates. Samsung has pushed an Android 11 update for most of the Galaxy phones within just two months. And now the OEM is targeting remaining devices which are also expected to get it soon. One UI 3.1 is a small Update over One UI 3.0 but it brings some notable features.

The first Galaxy Fold was released back in early 2019 with Android 9 out of the box. Galaxy Fold is one of the first few devices to receive an Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update. And this would be another great experience for Galaxy Fold users with the latest One UI 3.1 update. Currently, the Galaxy Fold One UI 3.1 update is rolling out in France, but you know Samsung, it won’t take long to be available in other regions.

The One UI 3.1 update for Galaxy Fold is available with build version F900FXXU4EUBF. Since the Galaxy Fold already received One UI 3.0, this update will not weigh much in update size. Now let’s talk about the new features that you will get with the latest One UI 3.1 update.

As for now, the official changelog is not available. But we already know the features of One UI 3.1 and all those features will be available on Galaxy Fold. Some of the notable One UI 3.1 features are Google Home Smart devices, Private Share, Object Eraser Tool, minor UI changes, and the ability to remove GPS location data from images when sharing. There are some other features that you will have with One UI 3.1 except Google Discover feed.

As you know Samsung releases updates over the air in batches, which means if you are from France, you may have already received the update on your device. But if not then you can manually check for updates by going to Settings > System Updates. It will show the available update so tap on download and install to get it on your phone.

If you’re in a haste, then you can update your device manually using Firmware. You can download Galaxy Fold Firmware from Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
