Samsung starts rolling One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy Note 9

One UI is one of the best custom OS from any smartphone brand. This is one of the best decisions to switch to One UI that helped the company with pushing new updates. Samsung is trying to push the latest available One UI 2.5 update to its popular Galaxy phones before starting the One UI 3.0 rollout. And today Samsung rolled out One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy Note 9 devices.

As you know Android 11 is already out and Samsung is working on the upcoming One UI 3.0 which will be based on Android 11. And so before the company starts rolling One UI 3.0, they want to push the latest One UI 2.5 update for popular Samsung Galaxy phones. Earlier Samsung has released One UI 2.5 update for the Galaxy S20 series, Galaxy S10 series, Galaxy Note 10 series, etc. And now it’s time for the Galaxy Note 9.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.5 Update

Although the One UI 2.5 is not a major update but still it is a big update and comes with many improvements and new features. The latest One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy Note 9 comes with the software version N960FXXU6FTJ3/ N960FOXM6FTJ2/N960FXXU6FTJ1. The update is available in the form of an OTA with an update size of around 800MB. This update is released globally and so if you have Galaxy Note 9 then expect the One UI 2.5 update soon.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.5 Update – What’s New

The latest One UI 2.5 update brings the latest October 2020 security patch on Galaxy Note 9 device. It also brings all the One UI 2.5 features that were introduced with the Galaxy Note 20 series.

Some of the main features that you get to experience in this update is support for wireless DeX, Single Take camera feature, improved Samsung Keyboard app and lot more.

And undoubtedly the update comes with bug fixes and stability improvement. The Galaxy Note 9 will not receive One UI 3.0 update so this is the last major update for the device. But we never know for sure, Samsung can surprise Galaxy Note 9 users with the Android 11 update.

Galaxy Note 9 One UI 2.5 update is rolling out in batches and so you might have to wait a bit longer if you haven’t received the update already. But if you want to update your phone right now then you always have an option to manually update.

And luckily the latest One UI 2.5 update file is available that you can manually install it on your phone. You can either install from the Software Update page from settings or from the stock recovery. If you are updating from stock Recovery then choose ‘update from SD card’ and select the update file. Download the file from the given link.

You can also update your phone by installing firmware with the Odin tool. To download the firmware you can use the Samfirm or Frija.
