After conquering the flagship lineup, Samsung already started One UI 3.0 update for mid range phones. And Galaxy M31s is the latest mid range phone to get Android 11 based One UI 3.0 Update. No other OEMs is even close to Samsung that has covered a large number of devices with a Custom OS. And if you also have a Samsung Galaxy phone which is eligible for Android 11 but still waiting for the update, then you don’t have to wait much. Till now Galaxy M30s, Galaxy A51, Galaxy M31, and Galaxy M21 already received the Android 11 update in mid range. And now it’s time for Galaxy M31s users to experience Android 11 features.
The Galaxy M31s Android 11 Update is currently available in Russia and Ukraine. But soon it will be available in other regions as well. The One UI 3.0 Update for Galaxy M31s comes with the build version M317FXXU2CUB1. As of now, we don’t have the information about the update size, but it should be around 2GB as Galaxy M30s.
Samsung Galaxy M31s Android 11 Update
The device was released back in 2020 with Android 10 based One UI 2.5 out of the box. And so, this is going to be its first major update. You can expect some new features, improvements as well as bug fixes. The update includes Android 11 and One UI 3.0 features as well.
Talking about new features, the Galaxy M31s Android 11 update carries a slew of customization-based features like the ability to add widgets on the lock screen, dynamic lock screen gets image categories, you can now add photo or video as a background for calls, adjustments for AOD, along with other One UI 3.0 features. Other than that, you can access Android 11 features on your smartphone such as chat bubbles, one-time permission etc.
Samsung Galaxy M31s Android 11 update is rolling out over the air. And if the update is available in your region, but if you didn’t get the update, then you can manually check for the update. To check for updates manually head over to the Settings > Software update. It will show the latest available update that you can download and install on Galaxy M31s.
If you’re in a haste, then you can update your device manually. And for this, you need to download the latest Android 11 firmware from Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or Sammobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the file to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
