Today, the company has released the new Android 13 update with One UI 5 for Galaxy S20 series and Galaxy S21 series phones. Yes, the Galaxy S-series from 2020 started receiving its third major software upgrade at the same time as the last year’s S-series phones. Samsung is pushing the new upgrade to the 4G-enabled Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20 Plus with the G98xFXXUFGVJE firmware version. However, the Galaxy S20 Ultra received the new firmware with the G988BXXUFGVJE version number. Since this is a major update, you can expect the file size to weigh anywhere between 1.5GB and 2GB, also, make sure you have enough space on your phone.
At the time of writing, the OTA is seeding in select European countries that include Germany and Switzerland, it will be available in other regions soon. Samsung is pushing the updates in a staged manner and for the time being the OTA is in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone in the next couple of days.
