Samsung rolls out Android 14 update for Galaxy A72

Samsung has started pushing the anticipated Android 14 based One UI 6.0 update to the Galaxy A72. This update arrives just two days after the release of the affordable Galaxy A52 (LTE). The update comes with a flurry of new features and changes. Read on to know all details of the Galaxy A72 Android 14 update.

At the time of writing, the update goes live in Russia and is expected to be available in other countries in a matter of time. The new software upgrade is labeled with the A725FXXU6EWL4 software version number.

The Galaxy A72 was launched with the Android 11 operating system and is all set to pick up its next major software upgrade, i.e., the Android 14 update based on Samsung’s One UI 6.0 custom skin.

Talking about the changes and features, then Samsung pushes the new software upgrade with the December security patch alongside the One UI 6.0 features. The feature list includes a new Quick panel UI, freedom to set the clock widget anywhere in the lock screen, the option to set even bigger fonts, updated Samsung apps, new Media player UI for notification and lock screen, new widgets, redesigned Emojis, and many other features.

Now if you own the Galaxy A72 and live in Russia, you can update your phone to Android 14 from Software upgrade settings. For the rest of the world, at the moment, the update is in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone very soon. You will receive the over-the-air update notification on your device once the update is available for you.

You can always manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > About device > Software update > Download and install.

Make sure to that a backup of important data before installing the new update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% in case of failures.
