Samsung resumes One UI 4.0 (Android 12) stable rollout for Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3

Two weeks back, Samsung knocked out the stable Android 12 update for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3. Later the company had suspended the rollout, after reports of critical issues and bugs. To address these issues, Samsung released one more beta build a few days ago. Now the news comes out that the company has again started rolling out the major Android 12 update to Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Fold 3.

This time, Samsung seeds the Android 12 stable on Galaxy Z Flip 3 with the F711NKSU2BUL4 software version. While the Galaxy Z Fold 3 receives it with the F926NKSU1BUL4 version number. For the time being, the update is available in South Korea, will also be available in other regions within a few days. As it is a major OS upgrade, it weighs more than the usual incremental monthly patches.

Moving to the changes, then the latest software comes with a big list of new features alongside the December 2021 monthly security patch. The feature list includes these changes – new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing of apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. At the time of writing, the changelog of Galaxy Z Flip 3 One UI 4.0 update is not available to us, you can head over to this page to check One UI 4.0 changelog.

If you’re using the Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Fold 3 and want to upgrade your phone to the new firmware then you can head over to the Settings > Software update and download the latest patch.

If you want the update immediately, then you can also manually install the update using firmware. You can download the firmware from Frija toolSamsung Firmware Downloader. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the Galaxy Galaxy Z Flip 3 firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
