Samsung’s diligent work on the Android 13 rollout now brings the new update to the two affordable phones. This time, the update goes live for Galaxy A12 and Galaxy M12. The Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update is rolling with a flurry of new features and changes.
For the time being, the firmware is available in select countries. Talking about the Galaxy A12, then currently the OTA is seeding in India, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Whereas the Galaxy M12’s new update is currently available for users who live in Russia. Obviously, it will also be released in other countries in a matter of time.
One UI 5.0 is a major software upgrade for the two affordable Galaxy phones. And as it is a major upgrade, it requires a huge chunk of data for downloading, so make sure you have enough data. Samsung is pushing the new firmware to the M12 with the M127FXXU3CVL2 firmware version, whereas the Galaxy A12 picks up the new update with the A127FXXU7CVL2 build number.
Samsung is pushing the Android 13 based One UI 5.0 with a bunch of new features including new lock screen personalization features, new wallpapers, widget stacking, new modes and routines, improved multitasking, smoother animations, and many more. Whether you own the Galaxy A12 or Galaxy M12, you can check for new updates by navigating to Settings, then select the Software Upgrade settings, then tap on Download and Install option, now if there’s a new update, then you can install it on your phone or you can wait for a few days and check back later.
Before updating make sure to charge your phone to at least 50% and also take a backup of important data.
January 2nd, 2023 – Android 13 update goes live for Galaxy M12 (India)
Today, Samsung rolls out the new Android 13-centric One UI 5.0 update for Galaxy M12 in India. The new update reaches the Galaxy M12 (SM-M127G) with November 2022 monthly security patch and weighs a whopping 1.7GB in size. Samsung plants the new firmware on the M12 with the M127GXXU3CVL3 build number.
