Samsung is preparing to release the first software update for the Galaxy S24 lineup since its launch. Yes, Samsung has delayed the first update for the S24 series and rightly so. It’s because several people who got their first batch of the S24 devices have reported several issues with their devices. Many issues such as the quality of the camera performance in night mode, astrophotography, and even the color modes have had issues.
While Samsung is usually quick to release updates for its devices, it seems Samsung has been working overtime to resolve the issues that many of the Galaxy S24 users have been reporting. Well, there is finally some good news available for all the S24 users. Samsung just published an update on its Samsung Newsroom blog. They have finally spoken about the issues and are soon ready to deploy updates to the S24 lineup later this month.
Whatโs Coming With The New Update?
The new update for the Galaxy S24 trio will first and foremost be the February Security update of 2024. Apart from the monthly patches, Samsung will be fixing the issue with the Vivid Colors display mode. Now, when you select the Vivid Mode option, you will be able to adjust the level of Vividness as well as the white balance values of R, G, and B. Having this option makes the display more vibrant. Currently, there is hardly any difference between the Vivid and Natural color modes. The update will make the display more vivid and you should see a difference when you switch between the displays.
One other aspect that Samsung has spoken about is the camera department. This will be the first update to bring camera optimizations for the Galaxy S24 series. As of now, the S23โs cameras seem better than the S24โs. Everything from the zoom, portrait photography, and rear camera video capabilities will be getting lots of improvements.
Additionally updates to the Galaxy AI tools that help you break the language barrier will be improved and worked up as these have been one of the main highlight points for the S24 series. There is some time for the update to be rolled out, but we should be seeing these updates quite soon. Will everything be fixed? Only time will tell.
