Samsung delivers One UI 6.1 to Galaxy A15 Users in the US

Samsung’s One UI 6.1 campaign is progressing at full speed. The company first started the One UI 6.1 rollout for the latest flagships and then took a break before the second wave. But since the start of the second wave, Samsung has continued to roll out One UI 6.1 for its remaining devices.

There are many budget phones that have received the update recently. The list includes Galaxy S21 FE, Galaxy A73, Galaxy A33, Galaxy A54, Galaxy A34, Galaxy A53 and more. And now the One UI 6.1 is available for the latest entry-level A series phone, the Galaxy A15 5G. Currently the unlocked model is getting update, but carrier locked model is also expected to get the update soon.

The One UI 6.1 update for Galaxy A15 5G is rolling out in the US. Like other mid-range and budget phones, the Galaxy A15 also does not get Galaxy AI features. This maybe because of the hardware limitations.

Galaxy A15 5G One UI 6.1 update is available with firmware build A156USQU1BXDA in the US. And since it is a big update, it also weighs a lot, so make sure to use WiFi to download the update.

Talking about new features, the latest One UI 6.1 brings almost everything that is also available on other budget phones. Here is a list of main changes that you will get to experience after upgrading your phone to One UI 6.1.

  • AI recommendations for enhancing your photos and videos
  • Copy and paste from one image to another
  • search screen has been redesigned in Gallery
  • Depth effect in Wallpapers
  • New widgets in lock screen
  • Turn On and Off modes from the Home screen more quickly
  • Track all Galaxy devices on a map in new Samsung Find app
  • Sync Internet tab groups with other devices

There are a bunch of other features. The update also improves the Android security patch to April 2024.

If you own an unlocked Galaxy A15 5G, you will get the OTA update on your phone. Since the update has already begun, some of you may have already received the update. Make sure to check for updates in Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.
