Samsung kicks off One UI 2.5 Update for the Galaxy A51

Just a few days ago, Samsung released the One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy A71 and Note 9. Now the more affordable Galaxy A51 (from A-series) starts receiving the One UI 2.5 update. Samsung begins airborne update rollout from Russia, the newer build is seeding with October 2020 monthly security patch along with a bunch of new features. Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy A51 One UI 2.5 Update.

This particular release pops up the Galaxy A51 with A515FXXU4CTJ1 software version on SM-A515F model. Obviously, One UI 2.5 will bring select features of flagship Note 20 series to the affordable Galaxy A51. Galaxy A51 gets the new features of One UI 2.5, except the Wireless DeX and enhanced Pro Video Mode feature.

Talking about the features, then One UI 2.5 Update for Galaxy A51 will knocked-up the monthly security patch level from September 2020 to October 2020. Other than that, the update comes with Bitmoji stickers support on AOD, Split Keyboard support for Landscape mode, and a few other features along with a slew of system improvements.

As for now, the OTA is weeding in the regions of Russia, the wider rollout can be expected in coming days. If you’re in a haste, then you can also manually update your Galaxy A51 to the One UI 2.5 update. You can check the newer updates in Settings > Software update.

For manual upgradation, you can download the firmware manually using Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the file to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you to take a backup prior, before diving in to the process. That’s it.
