[Galaxy Z Flip too] Samsung kicks off Android 11 Stable Update for Galaxy Z Flip 5G (One UI 3.0)

Note: Latest Galaxy Z Flip One UI 3.0 updates are added in the last of this story.

Last month, Samsung started beta testing of its newest skin – One UI 3.0 on the Galaxy Z Flip 5G. Now, the company has started pushing the stable One UI 3.0 based Android 11 update on its flip phone. Although the device is scheduled to receive the stable build in January, the South Korean tech giant Samsung surprises Galaxy Z Flip users by rolling the update before time. Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy Z Flip Android 11 Update.

The stable version of One UI 3.0 is rolling over-the-air with F707BXXU1CTL6 software version. For now, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5G users with SM-F707x are reportedly receiving the airborne update. Hopefully, it will soon be available for LTE variant as well. The update knocks up the Z Flip 5G with a flurry of UI changes, improvements, and latest monthly security patch.

One UI 3.0 based Android 11 is the first major update for Samsung’s flip phone. As for now, the official changelog is not available to us. But the new build packs a list of unique features like overhauled Notification panel and long-press menu for apps, new Volume controls layout, intuitive lock screen and Bixby Routines, a flurry of customizations to AOD, and much more. It also bags basic features of Android 11.

For now, the update is seeding in Switzerland, hopefully, it will soon be available in other regions as well. If you’re in a haste, then you can manually check the software updates from settings, as there are some times when OTA notification did not arrive.

To manually check for updates simply go to Settings on your Galaxy Z Flip 5G. And then go to System > Software Update. It will show the available update that you can download and install on your phone.

You can also download the firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip 5G phones manually once it is available on Samsung’s server, by following the below tips.

If you’re in a haste, then you update your device manually, using Frija tool, SamFirm tool, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the file to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
