The Galaxy Z Fold series has firmly established itself as a frontrunner in the realm of book-style foldable smartphones since its birth. Samsung, the South Korean tech titan, is all set to launch the next generation Galaxy Z Fold, which will be named, the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Release Date
Samsung usually unveils its foldable smartphones around July or August. For instance, last year, the company introduced the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5 on July 26th. The latest leak has unveiled that Samsung will host the Galaxy Unpacked event on July 10, during which it will introduce the eagerly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 6.
In addition to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 announcement, the company will launch the Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7 series, Galaxy Buds, and Galaxy Ring. Samsung is expected to release event posters in late June or early July.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Leaks and Upgrades
There are numerous changes coming to the next-generation foldable smartphone, starting with its design, there’s going to be some key changes coming to the overall looks of the foldable.
Design and Display
One of the biggest leaks of the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6, shared by SmartPrix in partnership with Onleaks, revealed the design of the foldable. According to the leaked renders, the successor could feature upgraded flat sides with a changed aspect ratio as well as a wider cover display.
The cover display of the foldable could be a 6.4-inch diagonal panel, the predecessor has a 6.2-inch panel. Talking about the aspect ratio, the cover screen will have a 20:9 aspect ratio. The internal screen’s size is expected to remain the same as its predecessor, which is 7.6 inches, as revealed by the known tipster Ice Universe.
The next major design change for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is going to be the adoption of the Titanium build. The company has already acquired the Titanium design for the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the leaks suggest we could see the Titanium build for the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The Korean blogger yeux1122 on Naver, said, the foldable will be thinner and lighter in weight. It is expected to weigh 239 grams. According to Ice Universe, the foldable will have 5.6mm of thickness when unfolded and 12.1mm when folded.
Processor and Colors
In terms of performance, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, says Chunvn. It will sport several Galaxy AI features along with seven years of OS updates.
Another tipster, Ross Young, said the phone will come in Dark Blue, Light Pink, and Silver shades. Ross later confirmed that more colors are in the works and Samsung could use more durable ultra-thin glass (UTG) in the Galaxy Z Fold 6.
Camera
In terms of optics, the foldable is also expected to bring a 200MP primary camera from the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it isn’t confirmed yet. However, the report by GalaxyClub revealed that the company was planning to use a 50MP 1/1.56″ ISOCELL GN3 snapper from the Galaxy S24, which doesn’t mention anything about a 200MP camera. There are multiple leaks confirmed the same. We have to wait for further confirmation.
Apart from the main sensor, the setup could have a 10MP telephoto camera and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor. For selfies, we could see a 10MP punch-hole selfie camera and a 16MP under-display selfie camera.
Just like its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to come in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB variants.
