Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 receives One UI 6.1.1 update in the US

After releasing the One UI 6.1.1 update for the Galaxy Tab S9 series in Korea last week, Samsung has expanded its availability to more regions, including the US. The much-awaited software upgrade brings the new Galaxy AI features to the tablet.

Verizon has officially confirmed the rollout and details the new features coming with the One UI 6.1.1 update on the Galaxy Tab S9 series. If you own Verizon’s cellular-locked Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, or Tab S9 Ultra, then you can upgrade your tablet to the new software upgrade. The update goes live with the UP1A.231005.007.X81xUSQU4BXHB software version.

Samsung is pushing the new software upgrade on the tablet with the August 2024 monthly security patch. Speaking of the features, then there’s an addition of Transcribe Recordings, PDF Overlay Translation, Sketch to Image, Portrait Studio, Live Effect, Interpreter gets a new Listening mode, and Chat Assist gets Composer.

If you own the Galaxy Tab S9 series model and reside in the US, then you can now update your tablet to the new Galaxy AI-powered update. If not, you can manually check for the update by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Remember to back up your important data before installing the update. No, the update will not erase your data, but take a backup just in case. Also, charge your phone to at least 50%.
