Samsung has started rolling out the Android 14 based One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy Tab A9+. The tablet was launched six months back with the Android 13 operating system. The wait is finally over, the company has finally kicked off the much-awaited software update for the Tab A9+.

At the time of writing, the update goes live for the plus model, it isn’t yet available for the vanilla Galaxy Tab A9. Samsung plants the new software on the tablet with the X216BXXU1BXA7 build number. The OTA update is already available in Australia, Brazil, Egypt, Georgia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, Uruguay, the Philippines, and some other countries.

Sadly, the update bags the December 2023 monthly security patch. Android 14 based One UI 6.0 is the first major software upgrade for the Galaxy Tab A9+, which means that it requires a big chunk of data for downloading. So, make sure you have enough storage on your tablet.

In terms of features, the Tab A9+ boasts features such as a new Quick panel UI, the freedom to set the clock widget anywhere in the lock screen, the option to set even bigger fonts, updated Samsung apps, new Media player UI for notification and lock screen, new widgets, redesigned Emojis, and many other features.

Here you can check the complete list of new features coming with One UI 6 and check the One UI 6 release notes here.

If you own the Galaxy Tab A9+, then you can now upgrade your tablet to Android 14 update. You will receive the OTA notification on your device once the update is available or you can manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > About device > Software update > Download and install.

Make sure to that a backup of important data before installing the new update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% in case of failures.
