Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 Lite is getting Android 12 based One UI 4.1

Samsung has been strongly updating its devices to Android 12 while also preparing for Android 13. The latest Samsung device to get the stable Android 12 update is the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. The Android 12 update comes with the One UI 4.1 skin on the tablet.

The Galaxy tab A7 Lite was released in 2021 with Android 11 out of the box. The tablet sports an 8.7-inch screen and a 5000 mAh battery powered by an Octa-Core Helio P22T CPU. The One UI 4.1 update for Tab A7 Lite is currently rolling out with the build number T225XXU1BVGB and is currently live in Germany and Hong Kong. But soon it will be available in other regions as well.

This will be the first major update for the galaxy A7 Lite and it brings in a good number of features to the device. The update is rolling out in batches, so you can expect the update for your Galaxy tab A7 Lite rollout in the coming weeks if you haven’t received it already.

Android 12 along with One UI 4.1 brings you features such as improved privacy, camera, and microphone usage indicators, new widgets on the home screams, new animated emojis, and also easy access to gifs and stickers. A good number of Samsung apps such as the Camera app will be getting a redesigned layout and improved Always on Display. The new major update also increases the Android Security patch level to July 2022.

Given that the update is a major upgrade, it is recommended that your device has 50% or more battery charge and is connected to the WiFi. Also, make sure that you have at least 6 GB of free storage space so that the update is downloaded to your device. And also take a backup of your data to avoid any data loss.

Since the update is out in two regions, we can expect the Android 12 based One UI 4.1 OTA update to be rolling to other regions soon. You can manually check for the update by opening the Settings app and tapping on Software update. Once the update shows up, you can simply tap on the Download and install button. There is also a manual method to install the update by installing the latest firmware, but this is only recommended to users who are aware of flashing files.
