After Galaxy A53, Galaxy S23 test firmware was spotted on Samsung servers. This confirms that Samsung is internally testing Android 15 based One UI 7 on the Galaxy S23.
This is the first test firmware for the Galaxy S23, while a test firmware for Galaxy S23 Ultra was spotted a while back, when Samsung had not even announced the One UI 7 delay.
This indicates that Samsung is picking up the pace and could release One UI 7 public beta for Galaxy S24 series any day now. Samsung should bring the public beta as soon as possible as Google has already started testing Android 16 in Developer Preview, while Galaxy users waiting for Android 15.
The test firmware for Galaxy S23 was spotted by Tarun Vats and according to the screenshots shared, it comes with the build version S918BXXU7DXKM/S918BOXM7DXKM/S918BXXU7DXKM.
This is just the beginning, there is still a long way to go for the stable build that will release in late January or early February for the Galaxy S23 series. But before that, Galaxy S23 users will also get One UI 7 public beta soon, obviously after the Galaxy S24 series.
With other brands rolling out Android 15 update for their eligible devices, the wait feels even longer for Galaxy users. If you’re feeling the same, you’re not alone, million of users are eagerly waiting to see what Samsung has in store. Let’s hope the features and changes make the wait worthwhile.
