Samsung Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S20 FE get One UI 5.1 Update

One UI 5.1 is the latest trending update for Galaxy phones. It was released earlier this month along with the Galaxy S23 series. But now as the series is available, the update is rolling out for more Galaxy phones. And it is already available on a bunch of phones like 3rd Gen and 4th Gen foldable, Galaxy S22 series, S21 series, and others.

Now the update is also available on two mid-range phones, the Galaxy S20 FE 5G and the Galaxy S21 FE. Both fan edition phones are quite popular for having good specifications at a reasonable price. And I can say that more than the original S21 and S20 series users, FE users were waiting for this update.

The Galaxy S20 FE 5G is getting One UI 5.1 update in Europe with build number G781BXXU4HWB1. And the Galaxy S21 FE is receiving the update in Europe with build number G990B2XXU1EWAJ. Yes mostly the One UI 5.1 for Galaxy phones is available in European countries but soon it will roll out to more regions.

Many users have already managed to get the One UI 5.1 update on their fan edition devices. And since it is a big update, you may need more data to download it depending on the update size.

Coming to the interesting part the One UI 5.1 comes with some new features and changes. It includes faster animations, new app opening animation, easy option to change selfie color tone, better Gallery search, accessories battery percentage widgets, new weather widget, support for family sharing album in the Gallery app, quick access to the Expert RAW camera app, improved AR emojis and AR zone, enhancements for stock apps, collaborating in Samsung Notes, Samsung Internet, and more. Currently, it is in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone in the coming days. You can navigate to Settings > Software Upgrade > Download and Install to check the new software.
