Samsung Galaxy Note 10 lineup and OG Galaxy Fold receive Android 12 update

Samsung has been diligently working on releasing to more phones its Android 12-centric One UI 4.0 custom skin. The South Korean tech giant already released the new OS for many Galaxy phones. Earlier this week, the company kicked off the stable build for the Galaxy S10 lineup, S20 series, Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7, and the original Galaxy Z Flip. Now there’s a news that the Android 12 update is available for the Galaxy Note 10 lineup and Galaxy Fold. Here’s everything you need to know about Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Note 10 One UI 4.0 stable update.

Before moving to the update details, just want to mention that, both the Galaxy Fold and Note 10 series phones are slated to receive the major Android 12-based update in January. But Samsung surprises the Galaxy users by releasing the update before the original date. Moving to the details, then at the time of writing, the update OTA is weeding in the European regions. If you’re using the Galaxy Fold in France, then you’ll receive the update very soon, it is already in the rolling phase with the F900FXXU6GUL9 build number.

Talking about the Galaxy Note 10 lineup, then currently the update is available in Switzerland with the N97xFXXU7GULD software version. The update will be available in other regions within a few days. As per the details, the Note 10 also received the January 2022 security patch alongside the One UI 4.0 based Android 12 update.

Moving to the features coming with the One UI 4.0, then the list includes new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing of apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. If youโ€™re using the Galaxy Note 10 or Galaxy Fold and want to upgrade your phone to the new firmware then you can head over to the Settings > Software update and download the latest patch.

If you want the update immediately, then you can also manually install the update using firmware. You can download the firmware from Frija toolSamsung Firmware Downloader. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the Galaxy Galaxy Z Flip 3 firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. Thatโ€™s it.
