Just a few days ago, Samsung started testing Android 12 on the two mid-range Galaxy M-series phones – the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M32. The testing is still underway for both phones. Today, Samsung surprises the Galaxy M52 5G owners by started rolling out the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update. The wait is finally over, you can now upgrade your Galaxy M52 5G to the feature-rich Android 12 OS. Samsung plants the new OS on M52 5G with the M526BXXU1BVC6 software version, currently, it is seeding in India, will join more countries in the coming days. As I said earlier, it is the first major OS upgrade for the smartphone, it requires a huge chunk of data for downloading. Many users have already received the new update and as per the information, the new build weighs 2.5GB in size and comes with the March 2022 monthly security patch.
Moving to the features and changes, then One UI 4.0 is a feature-packed custom skin bags features such as the new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing of apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. However, the One UI 4.1 brings some additional features like Google Duo live sharing feature, new image editing features including reflection and shadow eraser, share multiple files simultaneously using Quick Share feature, Grammarly integration to Samsung keyboard, and more.
If you’re using the Galaxy M52 5G in India, then you can head over to the Settings > Software Update > Download & Install to update your smartphone to the Android 12 based One UI 4.1 update.
If you want the update immediately, then you can also manually install the update using firmware. You can download the firmware from Frija tool, Samsung Firmware Downloader. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
