Samsung Galaxy M40 now receives Android 11 Update in India

Samsung has started pushing One UI 3.1 based Android 11 update to the Galaxy M40. Just a few days ago, the company pushed the update to the Galaxy M30s and Galaxy A31. The Galaxy M40 was announced back in 2019 with One UI based Android Pie 9.0 OS. Last year, it received the One UI 2.0 based Android 10 OS as its first major OS.

Now the device is getting its second big update in the form of Android 11 update. Here you can check everything about the Samsung Galaxy M40 Android 11 Update.

The latest update on Galaxy M40 knocks up with a number of new features, improvements, and bugs fixes. In the early phase, the OTA (over-the-air) update is weeding in the India, we can expect a wider roll out in the coming days. The newer build is weeding with M405FDDU2CUC6 build number and it measures around 2.2GB for downloading.

Apart from that the update also bump up the monthly security patch version number, at the moment of writing, I’m unsure whether it comes with March 2021 security patch or April 2021 security patch.

The latest One UI 3.1 update on the Galaxy M30s comes with features such as Private Share, Nearby Share, Eye Comfort Shield, Remove location data, Auto Switch feature, along with a few other features. You can also access the standard features of Android 11 after upgrading to the newer update. As for now, the update changelog is not available to us, but I’ll add it once available to us.

Samsung Galaxy M40 users in India can now upgrade their smartphone to the latest One UI 3.1 based Android 11 update. As always, the update is rolling out in batches, a number of users had already received the update via OTA.

In case you havenโ€™t received the OTA, then you can manually update your Galaxy M40 to the latest build or you can wait for a few days to receive the airborne update. You can manually download the firmware for the Galaxy M40, by following the below tips.

If youโ€™re in a haste, then you update your device manually, using Frija tool, SamFirm toolSamsung Firmware Downloader, or SamMobile website. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the file to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. Thatโ€™s it.
