In the past couple of months, Samsung has provided One UI 2.5 update to most of its devices. And they are now covering all the remaining devices before they shift the attention to One UI 3.0. Galaxy M31 is the latest device to receive One UI 3.0 update. And it is currently rolling out in India, but soon it will be available for other regions as well.
After releasing the One UI Samsung has been the best in terms of providing updates. And they are very close to rolling out the third major One UI update which will be based on Android 11. But as the latest update will first roll out for flagship devices, the company is now focusing on older devices. And so they are rolling One UI 2.5 for the remaining devices.
The One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy M31 is available with the firmware version M315FXXU2ATJ9. And as it is an incremental update you can expect the update to be less in size near around 1GB. The One UI 2.5 update also brings many new features and stability improvements.
Yesterday Samsung released the One UI 2.5 update for Galaxy M21 and today it is now rolling out for Galaxy M31. The update comes with the latest November 2020 security patch which we have seen rolling out for other devices with One UI 2.5 update.
If we talk about changes and improvements in the new update then the device received some new features with the update. The One UI 3.0 update comes with new Samsung Keyboard functionalities like split keyboard. The Galaxy M31 camera has also improved with the update.
Other changes include the SOS location sharing option in the Messages app. Now third party launchers also support Android 10 navigation gestures. And as usual, there will be bug fixes and improvement in performance.
The update is rolling out for Galaxy M31 users who all are currently in the stable build. And users can update their phones from settings. If you have not received the notification then head over to Settings > Software Update. And then it will show the update there. Click on the Download & Install button to update your Galaxy M31 to One UI 2.5 update.
