Samsung Galaxy M31 gets Android 12 based One UI 4.1 update in India

Last month, Samsung announced the Android 12 beta program for the Galaxy M31 and Galaxy M32. If you own the Galaxy M31, then you’ll be glad to know that, the update is now rolling out through a stable channel. Yes, the Android 12 based One UI 4.1 update is now finally available for the Galaxy M31. The update brings a slew of new features, enhancements, and fixes. Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy M31 Android 12 update.

At the moment, the update is in a rolling phase, some users have already received the new update. And as per the details, the One UI 4.1 build is seeding with the M315FXXU2CVCE firmware version and it requires a huge amount of data for downloading. I suggest you download the update over a WiFi network to quickly download the new build.

The smartphone was launched back in March 2020 with Android 10 OS, last year, it received its first Android update, which was the Android 11 based One UI 3.0 update. Now Samsung rolls out the second big update for the mid-ranger Galaxy M31 – the Android 12 update.

Samsung is pushing the new build to the Galaxy M31 with a March 2022 monthly security patch along with a ton of fixes. Moving to the features, then the latest update is seeding with new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing of apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. However, the One UI 4.1 brings some additional features like Google Duo live sharing feature, new image editing features including reflection and shadow eraser, share multiple files simultaneously using Quick Share feature, and more.

As for now, the changelog is not available to us, but you can access all essentials listed in the above paragraph. Now let’s take a look at how you can upgrade your Galaxy M31 to Android 12.

If you’re a proud Galaxy M31 owner and want to upgrade your phone to the new software, then you can open the Settings on your smartphone, then scroll down till you see Software Update settings, now tap on Software Update, then tap on Download & Install, if you see the new update, simply tap on install now. If the update is not available yet, you can wait for a few days or you can follow below-mentioned steps for manually sideloading.

If you want the update immediately, then you can also manually install the update using firmware. You can download the firmware from Frija toolSamsung Firmware Downloader. If you are using one of the tools then enter your model and country code and download the firmware. Once downloaded, you can flash the firmware using Odin Tool. Then flash the firmware to your device. If you want to do so, then I recommend you take a backup prior to diving into the process. That’s it.
