Samsung releases the anticipated Android 12 based One UI 4.1 update for two more Galaxy phones. This time, the update goes live for the Galaxy F12 and Galaxy F42. Both phones were launched last year with Android 11. And now is the time to get the taste of the first major OS upgrade. The new software comes out with a slew of useful features, improvements, and fixes. Here’s everything you need to know about Samsung Galaxy F12 and F42 Android 12 update.

The new software reaches the Galaxy F12 with F127GXXU3BVG1 build number and June 2022 monthly security patch. Whereas the Galaxy F42 picks up the new firmware with the E426BXXU2BVG1 software version number along with a month newer security patch – July 2022. The latest over-the-air build weighs around 1.8GB on the Galaxy F12 and 2.1GB on the Galaxy F42. As it is the first major software upgrade for the two Samsung phones, it needs some extra data for sideloading, compared to the monthly incremental updates.

Talking about the features then, the new update comes out with a bunch of new features such as new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. Hereโ€™s the complete changelog of the new update.
