Samsung is doing amazing stuff with software updates, the company has already released its newest custom skin – One UI 6.0 based on Android 14 to almost every eligible smartphone. While a few devices were left awaiting the update, including the Galaxy F04, that’s no longer the case. Today, the company has started rolling out the Android 14 update to its entry-level F-series smartphone.
Earlier today, the South Korean tech titan kicked off the software upgrade for the Galaxy M04 and now is the time for the F-series sibling. Samsung rolls out the new update with the E045FXXU6DXA2 firmware version. At the time of writing, the update is in a rolling phase, with a broader rollout to commence in a matter of time.
Before moving to the changes and features list, just want to mention that, the Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update for Galaxy F04 is the second major upgrade for the entry-level smartphone. It was released with the Android 12 operating system and picked up the Android 13 update last year.
As it is a major update, it needs a huge amount of space and data, so make sure you have enough storage on your device.
The Galaxy F04 Android 14 update comes with many new features, the list includes redesigned Quick Settings, more customization controls on the lock screen, a new One UI Sans font, new emojis, a new media player, separate battery settings, and many more. Apart from that, you can also expect newer security patch.
If you own the Galaxy F04, you may have already received the over-the-air update notification on your device once the update is available for you. You can always manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > About device > Software update > Download and install.
Once you receive the update, make sure to take backup of your data and charge your device to at least 50% before installing the update.
