[U: Global release] Samsung Galaxy A53 5G and A33 5G start receiving the latest One UI 5.1 Update

Samsung is about to complete the One UI 5 rollout as only a few Galaxy phones are left for the update. And the company already starts rolling out another major update to its devices. I am talking about the One UI 5.1 update that was released along with the Galaxy S23 series.

Last week, Samsung started the One UI 5.1 rollout for its premium flagships and mid-range phones. And today Samsung has brought the latest One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G. Yes, both the budget phones in the Galaxy A series are now getting the One UI 5.1 update with a host of new features.

Currently, the One UI 5.1 update for Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G is rolling out in South Korea. But according to Samsung’s reputation, the company won’t take long to deliver updates in other regions. Galaxy A53 5G One UI 5.1 update is available with firmware build A536NKSU4CWB3 whereas Galaxy A33 5G One UI 5.1 update is available with firmware version A336NKSU3CWB3.

One UI 5.1 may seem like a small update from its name, but it’s a big update with many new features and changes. The changes include accessories battery widgets which also support third-party accessories, improved animations, powerful search in Gallery, improved image editing, and more. You can check One UI 5.1 features here. Along with new features, the update also increases the Android security patch to February 2023.

If you are a Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A33 5G user in South Korea, you can expect the OTA update on your phone. If you are from a different region, it could take some time but not much. Sometimes the OTA update notification doesn’t appear and so you might miss the update. So in that case you can check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software Update > Download and Install.

Galaxy A53 starts getting the new update in other regions
