Over the past two weeks, Samsung released Android 14 for many of its Galaxy phones, including older flagships, foldables, and even A series phones. The Galaxy A33 is now the latest Galaxy phone to get the stable Android 14 update. Android 14 is the new OS that is available for Samsung Galaxy devices through One UI 6.

In one of our recent stories, we shared a list of Galaxy phones that are set to get Android 14 in December. Many of the devices on the list are already getting the update, and the Galaxy A33 now one of them. The Galaxy A33 was released in early 2022 with Android 12. So Android 14 based One UI 6 is the second major update for the device.

We spotted the Galaxy A33 5G Android 14 firmware. From the firmware availability we can assume the Android 14 update for Galaxy A33 is rolling out in Europe. And soon it will be available to users in other regions too. The update is tagged as build version A336BXXU7DWK6.

Coming to the new features and changes, you can expect the same format as the update for other Galaxy phones. Some of the main features are new Quick Panel UI, new Media player UI for Notification panel and lockscreen, more customizations for home screen and lock screen, dedicated page for battery settings, new font, updated apps and more. Also expect a new Android security patch.

As the official changelog isn’t available yet, you can check out our One UI 6 features list to know what you will get in the new major update.

If you own the Galaxy A33, you will receive the OTA notification on your device once the update is available in your region. Sometimes the update notification appears late, so you can also manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

Make sure to that a backup of important data before installing the new update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% in case of failures.
