Samsung had already pushed the anticipated Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update for Galaxy M14, Galaxy M34, Galaxy M53, and Galaxy M54. And now is the time for the more affordable Galaxy M23 5G. The same can be said for A-series phones and today the company has added one more phone to the Android 14 portfolio, dubbed, the Galaxy A23 5G. Read on to know more details.
In terms of details, the Galaxy A23 5G picks up the new software with the A236BXXU4DWKA build number, whereas, the Galaxy M23 5G receives the new update with the M236BXXU5DWL1 version number. Currently, the update is in a rolling out in limited regions for the Galaxy M23 5G, the regions include Russia, Ukraine, Switzerland, and Germany.
Talking about the Galaxy A23 5G Android 14 update’s availability, then, it is seeding in over a dozen of European countries and the list starts with the UK, Croatia, Serbia, Czech Republic, Italy, Poland, Slovenia, France, Ireland, and more. It will be available to everyone in a matter of time.
Moving to the features list, then the update is rolling out with features including redesigned Quick Settings, more customization controls on the lock screen, a new One UI Sans font, new emojis, a new media player, separate battery settings, and many more. The update will also bump up the monthly security patch.

Whether you own the Galaxy A23 5G or Galaxy M23 5G, you can now upgrade your phone to Android 14. At the time of writing, the update is in a rolling phase and will be available to everyone very soon. You will receive the over-the-air update notification on your device once the update is available for you. You can always manually check for new updates by navigating to Settings > About device > Software update > Download and install.
January 6th – Galaxy A23 (LTE) Gets One UI 6 Update
Samsung has started pushing the One UI 6.0 update to the LTE variant now. It is rolling out with the A235FXXU4DWL1 software version and weighs approx. 2.2GB in size. Other than the features, the update brings the November security patch, here’s the screenshot of the update.
Make sure to that a backup of important data before installing the new update on your device. Also, charge your phone to at least 50% in case of failures.
