Just a few days ago, Samsung released the Android 12 upgrade for the Galaxy A21 in the US. And now the Korean tech giant has pushed the upgrade to the more affordable Galaxy A11. The Android 12 based One UI 4.1 upgrade is now available for the Galaxy A11.
Samsung announced the Galaxy A11 in mid-2020 with Android 10 OS and received its first major software upgrade – Android 11 in June last year. The device was slated to receive two OS upgrades and this is the time for the second and last software upgrade. Currently, the firmware is seeding in Sri Lanka, a wider rollout should follow in the coming days.
The Galaxy A11 starts getting the new firmware with the A115FXXU3CVI3 software version number. As it is a major OS upgrade, make sure you have enough data available for downloading the new firmware on your device. The update will bump up the security patch to August 2022 and addresses the known issues on the device.
For features and changes, the Android 12 based One UI 4.1 boasts new widgets, very smooth animations while opening and closing apps, overhauled quick panel, automatic dark mode for wallpapers, icons, and illustrations, new charging animation, and much more. At the time of writing, the changelog is not available to us, but you can expect all of these features on your Galaxy A11 smartphone.
If you live in Sri Lanka, you can instantly upgrade your phone to Android 12 by heading over to Settings > Software Updates, if the update is available on your phone, you can tap on Download and Install. Else you can wait for a few days, it will be available in other regions in a matter of time.
