How to Root Poco F1 and Install TWRP Recovery [No Data Loss]

Install TWRP Recovery on Xiaomi Poco F1

To root Poco F1 first we need to install TWRP Recovery. So read this section to Install TWRP Recovery on your Xiaomi Poco F1. Download Magisk Zip file on your phone which will help you to root your phone after installing TWRP Recovery.

  1. Download Platform tools and extract it. And then Download TWRP Recovery and place it in the extracted Platform-tools folder.install twrp on poco f1
  2. Also, download DisableForceEncryption_Treble.zip and store on your Phone.
  3. In Poco F1 Open Settings and go to About Phone. And continuously tap on MIUI Version (for Poco F1) until it says you are now a developer.
  4. Go back to Settings and find Additional Settings and open it. Now in Additional Settings choose Developer option and finally Enable USB Debugging.
  5. Once USB debugging enabled connect Poco F1 with PC via USB Cable.
  6. In PC, go to the Platform-tools folder where TWRP Recovery image is located. Inside the folder, press Shift+Right click on an empty area and select “Open Powershell window here“.install twrp on poco f1
  7. Type the following command to boot Poco F1 into Fastboot or Bootloader Mode. You can also use shortcut keys to boot into bootloader mode.
    • adb reboot bootloader
  8. After entering the command a popup will appear asking for USB Debugging permission. Allow USB Debugging by taping on OK.
  9. To check the device is connected or not, enter the following command:
    • fastboot devices
  10. If it shows an ID means your device is connected and you can move to the next step.
  11. To Install TWRP recovery on Poco F1, enter the following command. But remember that the twrp-3.x.x-x-beryllium is the name of the image file and so if you have an image with a different name then type that one.
    • fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.x.x-x-beryllium.img
  12. After installing the TWRP Recovery on Poco F1 boot your phone into TWRP Recovery by entering the following command:
    • fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.x.x-x-beryllium.img
  13. In TWRP Recovery go to Install and select DisableForceEncryption_Treble.zip and swipe to install it.install twrp on poco f1
  14. Go back to the TWRP home and select Reboot and then choose Reboot to Recovery.install twrp on poco f1
  15. That’s it! You have successfully installed TWRP Recovery on your Xiaomi Poco F1 permanently.

  1. Download and store Magisk Zip on your Poco F1.
  2. Turn off your Phone and Boot into TWRP Recovery (Press and hold Vol up + power button).
