Although we are going to use Magisk on both methods to root Realme 3 Pro. Magisk is used for systemless root and works in case of all the Android smartphones with unlocked bootloader. So let’s start with the first guide and make sure to follow the pre-requirements.
Prerequisites
- Take a full backup of phone’s data (To restore if anything goes wrong)
- Unlock Bootloader on Realme 3 Pro (Skip if already done)
- TWRP Recovery should be installed (You can use any custom recovery)
- Download Magisk Zip & Magisk Manager APK
Steps to Root Realme 3 Pro using TWRP Recovery
- Transfer Magisk & Magisk Manager to the phone storage.
- Completely power off your phone.
- Long press Volume Down + Power button to boot the phone into TWRP Recovery.
- In TWRP, click on Install and locate the Magisk Zip.
- Flash the Magisk zip to root Realme 3 Pro.

This method doesn’t include any custom recovery but you still need Magisk to root the devices. Here we are going to use Magisk to patch boot image and then flash the image with commands. You may find this guide longer and time taking but it is effective. Make sure to follow the exact process as mentioned to avoid any error.
Prerequisites
- Take a full backup of phone’s data (To restore if anything goes wrong)
- Make sure bootloader is unlocked
- Download Stock ROM/Firmware for your phone (Same version on which your phone running)
- Download Magisk Manager APK
- Install ADB & Fastboot drivers on PC
- Download Platform tools
Steps to Root Realme 3 Pro without TWRP
- Extrract the downloaded Firmware and copy the boot.img file to phone storage.
- Install Magisk Manager on your phone.
- Open Magisk Manager and click on Install > Install.
- Now select the method “Select and Patch a File”.
- Locate the boot.img file and it will start patching.
- After successfully patching the boot.img the patched file will be saved to Download folder as patched_boot.img.
- Extract the Platform tools zip on PC and open the extracted folder.
- Transfer the patched_boot.img to the extracted platform tools folder and rename it to boot.img for convenience (patched_boot.img to boot.img).
- Completely power off your phone.
- Long press Volume Up + Power button to boot the phone into Fastboot Mode.
- Connect your phone to PC using a USB Cable.
- In platform tools folder press Shift + Right click on an empty area and select “Open PowerShell window here” or “Open Command window here”.
- Now enter the below command to flash patched boot image and root Realme 3 Pro
