Rog Phone 6 Series gets Stable Android 14 Update

Asus continues to expand its Android 14 rollout, now bringing the stable update to ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro. Both phones in the series are finally getting the stable Android 14 update. Earlier this year, the company released the Android 14 update for eligible phones including the Zenfone 10, Zenfone 9, and the ROG Phone 7 series. Here’s everything about the new update.

A few weeks ago, Asus also released a preview of Android 14 for the ROG Phone 6 series. But now this update is being released over the air for everyone. Android 14 is the second major update for the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro which were launched in 2022 with Android 12 OS.

In terms of technical details, the Android 14 update for the ROG Phone 6 and 6 Pro comes with build number 34.0210.0210.241. And since it is a major update, expect the update size to be larger than monthly security updates.

If you’re waiting for the update, it’s probably for the new features you get after installing the update. In terms of new features, the Android 14 update on the Rog Phone 6 series brings more options for clock customization in the lock screen, better photo and video permission controls, better battery information, and more.   • Sound recorder added app recording feature, and adjusted the information display method of sound recordings
  • Some 3rd party apps are not compatible with Android 14 yet

As mentioned earlier this is a stable build that means it will be available to every eligible Rog Phone 6 and Rog Phone 6 Pro. It is a staged rollout and can take few weeks for complete rollout. If you own Rog Phone 6 or 6 Pro, make sure to check for the update regularly in Settings to experience Android 14 as soon as it is available on your phone.

Before installing the update make sure to take backup of important data and also charge your phone to at least 50%.
