This month, several Xiaomi and Redmi phones received the Android 13 or MIUI 14 update. Some phones received both updates while some phones only received MIUI 14 based on Android 12. Redmi Pad is another Xiaomi device receiving both Android 13 and MIUI 14 updates. Let’s find out more about the new update.
Redmi Pad is a tablet from Xiaomi’s sub-brand and was released in the last quarter of last year. The tablet came with Android 12. This means Android 13 is its first major Android update and the update also comes with MIUI 14.
Multiple users have shared that they have received the update. It looks like the update is available in India and Indonesia, it may be available in other regions as well. The MIUI 14 update for Redmi Pad is available with build number 184.108.40.206.TLYINXM may be different for different regions. And as this is a major update, it weighs in at around 3.6GB as expected.
Coming to the changes and improvements, the MIUI 13 update brings minor changes here and there along with limited new features. But the Android 13 update adds more value including per-app language settings, privacy improvements, and more. The update also comes with the March 2023 security patch.
If you have a Redmi Pad, you will receive the OTA update considering the update is rolling out in your region. In case you receive update notification late on your tablet, you must check for the update manually from settings.
