Redmi Note 8 (vanilla) receives Android 11 Update, but it is not based on MIUI 12.5

Just a few days ago, Xiaomi kicked-off MIUI 12.5 based Android 11 update for Redmi Note 8 Pro. And the vanilla Redmi Note 8 users are also waiting for the newest MIUI 12.5 based Android 11 update. But for some reason, Xiaomi starts pushing Android 11 to the Redmi Note 8 (2019) without MIUI 12.5. Yes, the update on Redmi Note 8 (2019) is based on MIUI 12. Xiaomi is seeding the new update with 12.0.1.0.RCOMIXM version number on Redmi Note 8. The Android 11 update is the second major OS upgrade on the Redmi Note 8. The major OS system updates weighs more than usual monthly OTA patches, so I suggest you to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network for uninterrupted installation. For the time being, the update is limited to global variant, we can expect it will be coming to Indian and other variants in the coming days.

As per the information, the update is going to bring a new monthly security patch (July 2021 patch to be more precise), Android 11 features, alongside the essentials of MIUI 12.
