The latest update lands on the Redmi Note 8 with 12.5.1.0.RCOMIXM firmware version. As this is also a major upgrade, it weighs more than usual OTA patches, this build measures around 1.1GB of size for downloading, I suggest you to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network for uninterrupted installation.

Same as the Android 11 release, the company has not yet officially confirmed the rollout. But there are some users which are allegedly receiving the update. Here’s a screenshot shared by TechnoAnkit1 getting MIUI 12.5, we’re not confirmed that whether it is an Enhanced Edition update or the vanilla MIUI 12.5. As per the details mentioned in the changelog, it’s safe to assume that it is a vanilla MIUI 12.5 build.
