Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+ start receiving MIUI 14 update

MIUI 14 was released in December last year and was later released for several Xiaomi phones. It is now being released for two more phones; Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G. Yes, both phones are getting the stable MIUI 14 update in India.

MIUI 14 does not bring any significant software upgrades. But still, there are some improvements and changes for a better experience from the previous update.

MIUI India shared the official news via Twitter. And in response to this, many users shared their feedback after updating their phones. The MIUI 14 update for the Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G is based on the Android 12 update. No, it does not bring the Android 13 update. Also, some users reported heating issues and additional bloatware.

The update is rolling out to users with build number And the update contains the March 2023 security patch. Since it’s a big update at least according to Xiaomi, the update size will be big.

In terms of changes, you can expect minimal improvements and some UI changes that are not worth mentioning. Users have been waiting for the Android 13 update and it is already too late for any new phone.

If you are a Redmi Note 12 Pro or Pro+ user in India, you will receive an over the air update on your phone. Since it’s a batch rollout, it can take some days for a full rollout.

You can manually check for the update to download as soon as it’s available. Make sure to backup important data and charge your phone to at least 50% before upgrading.
