[Available In India] Redmi Note 10 starts receiving MIUI 12.5 Stable Update (with Download Links)

Xiaomi finally starts rolling out the MIUI 12.5 update for Redmi Note 10. It is a stable update rolling out globally. MIUI 12.5 is the latest available update for Xiaomi devices and as per the latest official update, it will remain the latest update for a few more months. Yes, the MIUI 13 has been delayed and it’s coming at the end of the year. This way Xiaomi can buy some time to push MIUI 12.5 for the remaining phones. Redmi Note 10 is now the latest Xiaomi phone to get MIUI 12.5 update.

A few months back the Pro and Pro Max version of the Redmi Note 10 series received MIUI 12.5 update. And finally, the vanilla Redmi Note 10 is also receiving a stable MIUI 12.5 update. In case you don’t know, it is also based on Android 11.

The Redmi Note 10 was launched earlier this year with Android 11 based MIUI 12 out of the box. And this is the first major MIUI update for the device. Talking about the Redmi Note 10 MIUI 12.5 build number, it is V12.5.2.0.RKGMIXM for the Global variant (V12.5.1.0.RKGINXM in India). As of now the MIUI 12.5 is available for the Global model but soon the update will roll out for other variants as well. The stable MIUI 12.5 update is rolling out for the global Redmi Note 10 phone. And so if you are a Redmi Note 10 Global variant user you will get the OTA update directly on your phone. Yes, it is a staged rollout like other MIUI updates, so some users may get it early while some users have to wait for few more days.

In case you don’t get the update notification, you can manually check for the update in Settings. And if it’s not available and you want to update your Redmi Note 10 to MIUI 12.5 immediately then you can manually install the update with an OTA zip or recovery ROM file.

To sideload the recovery ROM package (Update file), you need to head over to the system settings > updates, then select the update package manually. Then, allow the prompts to install the build.

The Redmi Note 10 MIUI 12.5 update is now rolling out in India with build number V12.5.1.0.RKGINXM. It brings all the features similar to what we mentioned for the Global update.
