Realme UI 3.0 open beta program goes live for Realme 9 5G

Last month, Realme originally released an Android 12 based Realme UI 3.0 skin update to the Realme 9 5G through its early access program. And now more people can install the new update, thanks to the open beta update’s availability. Obviously, the Realme UI 3.0 skin is packed with a flurry of new features and enhancements, if you’re in a haste and want to try out the new features. Read along to know everything about the Realme 9 5G Realme UI 3.0 open beta update.

Realme officially confirms the availability of an open beta update on its community forum. And as per the information, your smartphone needs to be running on the RMX3388_11.A.06 software version. If your phone is already running on Realme UI 3.0 (early access) build, then you’ll receive the new update over the air. But if you’re on an older version, you need to request for open beta OTA. Yes, it is an open beta update, so anyone can join it and access the new update, no need to be acquainted with the availability of slots.

Although, open beta builds are more reliable compared to the early access builds, but still I don’t recommend you install them on your primary device. Speaking about the features, then Realme’s latest Android 12-centric skin packs new 3D icons, Omoji 3D avatars, AOD 2.0, dynamic theming, new privacy controls, PC connect, and much more. Obviously, users can also access the essentials of Android 12.

Now let’s take a look at how you can upgrade your Realme 9 5G to Realme UI 3.0 open beta.

If you’re using the Realme 9 5G and want to update to the latest Android 12 open beta then you can easily do it from the system settings, but before moving to the steps make sure you phone has at least 5GB of free space and charged 60%.

  1. Head over to the Settings on your Realme smartphone.
  2. Then go to Software Update and tap on the Settings icon present in the top right corner.
  3. Next select Trial Versions > Open beta > Apply Now and submit your details.
  4. That’s it.

After upgrading to the open beta build you may encounter with some issues like longer booting time, etc.
