Realme 9i 5G gets Android 13 via Open Beta Program

Another Realme number series phone has joined the Android 13 open beta program. We are talking about Realme 9i 5G which is a budget phone. This means users with Realme 9i 5G can experience Android 13 before the public release. This is a beta program and hence only users who apply for it will get the update.

Realme is a mass smartphone manufacturer and has a number of models in its inventory. And this can be seen in the flaws in the update management by Realme. This is quite bad as users have to wait a long time to experience major updates and sometimes they end up with broken software after the wait.

Realme has released the Android 13 roadmap for its devices, but it is only for the beta update and not the stable update. And hence users do not know when to expect the update on their phones. You’ll get to know the stable update is near once the open beta is released. Yes, this means that the Realme 9i 5G will get the Android 13 stable update soon.

As of now, Realme hasn’t released Realme UI 4, all Android 13 updates for Realme phones are available with Realme UI 3. Android 13 is also available for Realme 9i 5G with Realme UI 3 on top. In case you don’t know about the beta update phase, the open beta program is the last beta phase released before the stable update. Sometimes the same update is rolled out as stable when no major issues or bugs are found.

Android 13 Open Beta program for Realme 9i 5G is available since 22nd November. The update brings all the changes and features that you would expect in a stable update. New features include Aquamorphic design, improved animations, large folder and widgets in homescreen, multi screen connect, new AOD customizations, improved privacy and security, and more. You can check the expected changelog by heading to this page.

If you are a Realme 9i 5G user, you can apply for the Android 13 open beta after updating your device to the build RMX3612_11.C.03. After updating your phone to the required version, go to Settings > Software Update. Tap the gear icon at the top right corner and go to Trial Version > Open Beta. Now fill in all the correct details and submit the application.

Realme team will review your application and soon you will receive the Android 13 via OTA update. Also, one thing to note is, the update is for limited users. Realme hasn’t mentioned any specific number.
